Morehouse, Lee Wilson,

With very heavy hearts our family announces the going HOME of our Dad- Lee Wilson Morehouse, age 89 on April 30th , 2021 at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, with his 5 (five) children at his bedside. Dad was born April 14, 1932, out over the hill in Blissfield NB, to parents Weaver and Georgina (Jean) (Jonah) Morehouse.

Loving husband to Jean Elizabeth (Weaver) (d.2012). A wonderful and precious Dad to Dale (Cindy), Brenda (Russell) Hopper, Stuart (Allana), Kevin (Lisa Leaman), Lyndon (Skana).

Grampie to Gary (Skyler), Tommy (Lori), Justin (Ryan), Darla (Garnett), Eli. Great Grampie/Boppie Lee to Byron, Lexton and Emry.

Special brother to June (Frank d.) Veno of Fredericton, their children Brian (Joy), Donna (Gary) and Keith (Kate).

Brother-in-law to Isabel (Royce) Wilson of Blissfield and Brother-in-law to Pat (Barbara) Fletcher of Dartmouth NS, as well as numerous nephews and nieces.

Besides his parents and his wife Jean, Dad was predeceased by their son Gary Lee, grandchildren Kara Hopper, Quintin Morehouse and twins Todd and Tabatha Morehouse – playing together at the feet of Jesus.

Dad grew up working in the family business- in Blissfield- Weaver & Son. He looked after the day to day operations as well as selling, installing and servicing propane appliances and propane deliveries. After the widening of route 8 the garage closed and Dad went to work for Town & Country Furniture & Flooring, finishing his career with Dale at Carpet Ranch in Fredericton.

Dad loved to spend time camping with mom and us kids vacationing in many areas, also to bluegrass festivals, camping with his sister June with all the gang at Merrill and Shirley Spencer’s camp in Taxis River. He and mom travelled to Florida, Nashville, the Dominican Republic with Dale and Cindy. If the car was started they were willing and packed to go.

Dad was an active attendant of the Carroll’s Crossing Baptist Church, member of the Landmark Lodge Boiestown, and president of our local Crime Stoppers for 25 years. He will be sadly missed by his friends, relatives and neighbors, including his buddies (Uncle Royce included) that went to Tim Horton’s frequently. Together they helped solve the “world’s problems” or thought they did.

Pallbearers for dad are Gary Morehouse, Justin Morehouse, Chris Wilson, Eddie Porter, Phil Colford and Matthew Wellwood.

Visitation will take place at Davidson’s Funeral Home in Doaktown Monday, May 3rd from 4-7pm.
