It is with heavy hearts that the family of Ruth (Shaddick) Arseneau announces her passing on November 27, 2020 at the age of 68. To say how truly loved she was would be an understatement. Always putting others before herself, you could not find a more devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.

She is survived by her Husband Jean-Guy; her daughter Kerri Lynn Mullin (Jason) of Miramichi; her son, Steven Savage (Janelle) of Calgary; her stepsons, Shawn Arseneau (Amanda) of Ontario, Randy Arseneau (Tammy) of Oromocto and Jeremy Arseneau (Meagan) of Reserve Mines Cape Breton; her sisters, Joyce Fry of Miramichi and Shirley Allan (Don) of Wasaga Beach Ontario; her brothers, Clarence Shaddick (Late Elinor) of Trout Brook and Johnny Shaddick (Linda) of Boom Road and her 17 grandchildren Jennessa, Dawson, Tyler, Riley, Makayla , Eve, Mason, Kiera, Landen, Jake, Oliver, Emily, Cali, Danika , Easton, Dominik and Aspen.

She was predeceased by her parents and brother Ralph Shaddick.

Ruth lit up a room with her glowing smile and infectious laugh and always made everyone in her presence feel loved and welcome. From her family to her extended family and friends, she magically found the time to patiently listen to everyone and provide the best advice. She was truly the family nucleus, checking on family on a regular basis to make sure they were okay. She was also always the one planning the family get togethers.

Ruth was an ECG technician and always said how fortunate she was to have a job she truly enjoyed. Ruth had a wonderful ECG and respiratory extended family whom she loved. She was always going above and beyond with everything she did in life and work

Ruth was a devoted wife to her husband Jean-Guy, who loved their many activities together, camping, sports and spending time with their many friends. More recently they also loved cruising around in their miata with their friends. Their mutual love of travel brought them to many places around the world which they felt fortunate to experience.

Her children and grandchildren meant the world to her. A more proud and loving mother could not be found; always there for her children when they needed her. She somehow found the time to spend quality time with all of her grandchildren and spoiled them to no end. She would travel across the country to celebrate special moments with them.

A wonderful and supportive sister to her brothers and sisters who she loved very much and shared a special bond with each of them. A favorite “aunt Ruth” to her nieces and nephews, filling them up on French fries and taking them for rides in her cool car.

The family would also like to extend a special thank you to the physicians and staff who all provided tremendous care to her; especially on 2 West, 2 East, CCU and Miramichi oncology. Also, to her extended family, neighbors and friends for their wonderful support and kindness. You will always be in our hearts.
