Her Children wish to announce the passing of Helena Louise Arbeau at White Rapids Manor in Fredericton Junction on November 14, 2020. Helena was born on November 8, 1922. She was the only child of George and Violet Arbeau. She was very proud of her family and leaves behind her four children, Gloria Cudahy (Michael) of Moncton, Sharon Carter-Green (Jerry) of Fredericton, Allison (Susan Warren) of Upper Blackville and Duane (Joanne Pinder) of Barnettville. Helena also had eight grandchildren, Christopher, Beth, Robbie, Tina, Jodi, Ian, Lisa and Chris. She also leaves behind nine great grandchildren.

Helena was born in Upper Blackville, NB and lived there for 95 years of her life before moving to Fredericton and later Fredericton Junction. She was predeceased by her husband Llewellyn in 1986. They were married for 43 years. From the time of his passing, Helena lived independently and even continued to drive her vehicle, shovel snow, tend to daily maintenance of her home until she was 95 years young.

In her younger years, Helena loved school. She repeated her final year of school three times but not because of poor grades. She just loved it so much she kept going back.

Helena worked for many years as a Cook along side her husband Llewellyn at Dunphy Airstrip and various other wood camps. She was well known for her donut and bread making skills.
Helena had a very caring heart and loved animals. Having grown up on a hobby farm as a youngster she had many pets over the years.

Helena was very kind and mild mannered and very well liked in the community She attended church faithfully.

Visitation will be from 11 AM to 1PM on Wednesday November 18 at Davidsons Funeral Home in Doaktown and the service will follow at 1PM. Covid 19 regulations will be observed with social distancing and face coverings required. Donations in her memory to the Miramichi SPCA should you wish.
