It is with broken hearts we announce the sudden passing of our father, William “Billy” George MacLellan of Taxis River, NB which occurred on September 16, 2020 at the DECH, surrounded by his loving family. Born on February 10, 1955 in Parkers Ridge, NB, he was the son of the late George and Peggy (MacDonald) MacLellan. Dad was recently retired from Sewell’s Paving. He had a long career as a heavy equipment operator and truck driver. He especially enjoyed his time as a crane operator during construction of the Confederation Bridge. He had a great love for his family, friends, and his four-legged companions: Duke, Peter, Earl, Fred, and Rebel the goat.

Billy is survived by his special friend Susan Norrad of Taxis River and their dog Fred; son, Jeffrey (Jodi) MacLellan of Parkers Ridge; daughter, Lisa (Lee) Banks of Fredericton; their Mother, Brenda MacLellan of Fredericton; sister, Debbie (Bobby) Carr of Fredericton; sisters in law: Heather (Brian) Sutherland, Cindy (Donnie) McGivney, and Anna Marie (Tom Gibson) Hunter, all of Fredericton; his beloved grand children: Matthew and Austen Boone, of Fredericton; Austin Gorman of Parkers Ridge; Cora and Mason Banks of Fredericton. He was also survived by an uncle, aunts, several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Pallbearer will be best friend and cousin, Dan MacLellan.

The family would like to send a sincere Thank You to the Nurses and Doctor in the ICU at the DECH. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Parker’s Ridge Cemetery Fund, or to the donor’s choice. A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, September 27th, at 2pm at the Upper Miramichi Lions Club in Boiestown, NB.
