Jean Winnifred Jardine

Jean Jardine, wife of the late Edward Carson Jardine of Gordon Road, Miramichi passed away peacefully at the Miramichi Hospital on Sunday, August 30, 2020 at the age of 88.

Born in Tabusintac, NB on July 19, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Allan and Nellie Davidson. Jean was a member of St Andrew's United Church. Prior to her retirement Jean was employed at the Dietary Department of Hotel Dieu Hospital and for many years as a caregiver to several folks but her main interest was being a mother to her children and watching them grow to become nurturing caring adults.
Mom was famous for her brown sugar fudge which she lovingly shared with family and friends.

Jean will be dearly missed by her loving children: Daughters: Deborah Ellison (John) of Moncton NB, Constance Desjardins of Toronto, ON, Jill Clark (Tim) of Quispamsis, NB, Bonnie Jardine (Mark Kelly) of Miramichi NB: Her Sons Bruce Jardine (June)of Quispamsis NB, Keith Jardine ( Anna) of Miramichi, NB, Kevin Jardine(Linda) of Ottawa, ON, and Reg Jardine of Miramichi NB. As well, her ten grandchildren and ten great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and sister in law Lea Connell.

Besides her parents, Jean was predeceased by her loving husband Edward Carson in 2007; her beloved sisters Georgina, Dorothy, Mae, Edna and Edith and brother Ronald. Jean was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to her caregivers and to Dr Gerard Losier, a longtime friend and doctor, for their kind and compassionate care given to Jean.

Due to Covid restrictions, a celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
