It is with great sadness that the family of Charles Hachey announces his passing at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on July 26, 2022, following his brave struggle with a lengthy illness. He was beloved by family and his many friends. As a talented musician who generously gave of his time, voluntarily playing at many venues throughout the Miramichi Area, he will be greatly missed throughout the community. He played a multitude of instruments including guitar, fiddle, accordion, harmonica and more. His music was enjoyed by audiences on Rogers T.V. and weekly jam sessions, attendees at numerous benefits, as well as residents and their families at Senior Citizens Homes and Hospitals. His musical connections were many including involvement with The Miramichi Fiddlers and having played with such distinguished artists as Smiley Bates.

He will be sadly missed by his wife, Elizabeth (Ne MacKenzie), his son, Keith Hachey, and step-daughters Claudette and Carole Durand. He is survived by sisters Anna Hachey, Yvonne Minette, Jeanne Hachey, Edith Everitt (Keith), Blanche Hachey, and brother William Hachey. He is predeceased by his mother, Demerise, Father Andre, brothers, Leo, Eric, George and Patrick and sisters Rose Marie and Marie Ann.
