Eric Joseph Henry husband of 72 years of the late Lauza (Plourde) Henry of Losier Hall formerly of Chatham Head, passed away at his late residence on Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at the age of 94.
Born in Chatham Head, NB, he was the son of the late Anthony and Edmay (Martin) Henry. He was a retired self-employed Truck Driver and a member of The Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church.
He was an avid Baseball Player for Chatham Head Tigers known for his rifle arm from 3rd base, inducted into Sports Hall of Fame in 2008. Loving Father, Grandfather and Great Grand Father to all his sweethearts.
He is survived by his daughters, Lois MacGregor (Late Blaine) of Derby and Joanne Godin (Stanley) of Dartmouth; his sons, Eric “Ricky” Henry (Dorothy) of Miramichi, John Henry (Joan) of Miramichi and Blair Henry (Annie) of Miramichi; his sister, Freda Trainor (Des) of Kingston Ontario; his brother, Pat Henry (Anne) of Miramichi; his 10 grandchildren, Darren, Shawn, Colin, Robert, Alisha, Jody, Brett, Corey, Tanner and Emily and his great grandchildren, Hannah, Kayla, Victoria and Charlotte.
He was predeceased by his parents, wife, sisters Agnes, Lorraine and brothers Leo, Fred, Medie, Tony and Ivan.
Eric Joseph Henry is resting at Davidson’s Funeral Home, 597 Old King George Hwy, with visitation on Sunday from 2pm-6pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 11am at the Nativity Blessed of the Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church with Father John Keoughan Officiating. Burial will follow in the family plot of St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Cemetery.
